DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CURSO

The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards although because of class extended topic agenda many contractors and companies in New York City require it for workers in supervisory or safety position. Also, the 30-HR OSHA Training is required for individuals applying as a Site Safety Manager, Site Safety Coordinator, and/or Superintendent based on the applicant’s qualifications. The main purpose of the course is to promote workplace safety and health and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. Please note that employers are responsible for providing additional training for their workers on specific hazards of their job as noted in many OSHA standards.
